1 General
The eLearning Platform “Talent LMS” is provided by VIER PFOTEN International (hereinafter “FOUR PAWS”, “we” or “us”)
Supplier of the Platform is Epignosis LLC (315 Montgomery Street, 9th Floor, San Francisco,CA 94104, USA). FOUR PAWS has concluded a data protection agreement with the provider and performed the order control according Article 28 GDPR (European General Data Protection Regulations) to ensure a high level of data protection.
2 Registration
Every user will create their own account on the platform by signing up. The user has to register with their full name, email address (these are the defaults fields that need to be filled in), job title, organisation name and location (the latter information is needed to ensure that the correct target audience takes the course). Then the user also sets up a username and password. Already during registration the user of the platform is informed about the data protection relevant processing via our privacy policy.
Upon approval by FOUR PAWS the user’s account will be activated. The user will be informed by email about the activation of his account as well as about the individual course assignment. The communication via email is necessary for the execution of the contractual relationship between FOUR PAWS and the user of the platform.
When the user logs-in for the first time, he/she must read and agree to the terms of use (TOS).
3 Processing of personal data
The following data is processed:
i. Account data (username, password)
ii. Masterdata and contact data (full name and email address)
iii. Employment data (job title, organization name and location)
iv. Usage data (e.g. date and time of login)
v. Learning progress
4 Learning success monitoring
FOUR PAWS platform administrator carries out the learning success monitoring.
A certificate of completion is issued once all modules are completed and the user receives it.
FOUR PAWS platform administrator is able access the ‘user report’ which outlines user participation in a course (number of assigned courses, number of completed courses)
Our data protection statement is available under ‚Data Privacy‘. There you will be informed in detail about the processing of personal data during the use of the eLearning Platform. This includes in particular the indication of the legal basis according to the GDPR.

6 Cookies and Tracking
TalentLMS Platform
Google Analytics is only used for the TalentLMS website but not to track end users of the eLearning Platform. In this respect the only non-functional cookies set are for potential prospects and the portal owner; these are actually anonymized audience (TalentLMS does not know the personal data of individuals) and are used in order either to prevent ads from being displayed to users who have already subscribed to our service or to improve the onboarding experience / send marketing announcements.
Regarding the latter, the portal owner can always unsubscribe through the unsubscribe link at the email footer. Therefore, the service itself does not track end users who may access the service through their portal FOUR PAWS Shelter Adoption Academy (talentlms.com).
The rest of the cookies are purely functional and thus no cookies banner is required according to EDPB (European data protection board).
Four Paws Content
We make videos available on the eLearning platform. These are played via the "Youtube" service. In the process, data is transmitted to the provider, which is based in the USA. You can find details on this in our data protection statement.
The content and works created on the eLearning platform are subject to Austrian copyright law.
Duplication, processing, distribution and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this site are only permitted for business use.
Insofar as content on the eLearning platform was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. In particular, third-party content is marked as such. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please inform us accordingly.
If we become aware of any infringements, we will remove such content immediately.
8 Rules for using the system
The eLearning portal is used with personal accessdata / individual accounts so that learning progress can be recorded and evaluated on an individual basis.
Passing on access data / account data to colleagues or other third parties is therefore not permitted.
Violation of these rules may lead to consequences under labour law.
9 Acceptance of the terms of use
By registering and using the eLearning platform, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms of use and the Privacy Policy and acknowledge them.
You agree to the processing of the data you have stored in your "personal profile" as well as to the use of the files you have provided within the framework of the online course.
You can call up and print out the text of this declaration from any page of the online portal under the link "Terms of use and data protection statement".
10 Special provisions for minors
If you are considered a minor in your country, you confirm that your parent or guardian has given you permission to use our service. You provide us with this confirmation by registering for our Service. Please note that we may verify that you have the consent of your parent or guardian. 11 Changes to ToS
We reserve the right to amend or supplement these Terms of Use with effect for the future. In doing so, we are entitled to make decisions in individual cases by which the Terms of Use are concretised or extended.
You will be notified of any changes to the Terms of Use at the e-mail address stored in the system.
Continued use of our eLearning portal after the Terms of Use have been amended and communicated shall simultaneously mean acceptance of the amended Terms of Use.
